BY BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT YOU ARE AGREEING TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

APPOINTMENTS

Appointments can be booked via telephone, text message, WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram. As I am often unable to answer calls whilst grooming, the preferred method of contact is by message. If your call is unanswered, please leave a voicemail and I will return your call as soon as possible.

CANCELLATION & NO SHOW POLICY

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice will incur a £20 fee.

  • Cancelling or resheduling with less than 24 hours notice will incur a full appointment fee.

  • Failure to attend an appointment without notice (no show) will result in the full appointment fee being charged.

Outstanding fees must be paid before any future appointments can be booked. Please ensure you keep a note of your upcoming appointments. While reminder messages may be sent as a courtesy, it remains the owners responsibility to remember and attend scheduled appointments.

DROP OFF & COLLECTION

Please arrive on time to your appointment. As a 1-to-1 groomer, I work by scheduled appointments meaning each pet has their own specific time slot. Early arrivals may have to wait until their appointment time, and late arrivals may be turned away with the full fee payable. Please collect your pet on time to avoid late collection fees and let me know how much notice you require (if any) to get back to the salon to collect (10, 15, 20 mins etc). Repeated late collections may result in future appointments being refused.

HEALTH, SAFETY & WELFARE

The safety and welfare of all pets is my top priority. The salon door remains locked during grooming appointments. Please do not knock or attempt to enter if grooming is in progress. All pets must be vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment.

Professional grooming involves the use of sharp equipment whilst working with live animals. Whilst every effort is made to provide a safe and comfortable grooming experience, animals can move unexpectedly and there are inherent risks involved. By booking an appointment you acknowledge and understand these risks. You understand that accidents, injuries or reactions may occur despite all appropriate precautions in place.

In the event of an emergency, every effort will be made to contact the owner immediately. Although I am canine & feline first aid trained, if veterinary treatment is deemed necessary, your pet may be taken to the nearest vet.

Owners are legally required to disclose any history of aggression, biting or dangerous behaviour before the appointment. If a pet displays aggressive or unsafe behaviour during the groom:

  • A muzzle or any other safety equipment may be used.

  • The pet may be sent home unfinished with the full appointment fee payable.

PRICING & ADDITIONAL FEES

All prices are FROM £X Amount. Prices vary depending on size, coat type, coat condition, preferred style, behaviour and time taken to complete the groom. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Matting

  • Difficult/aggressive behaviour

  • Fleas (£20 fee)

MATTING POLICY

I strictly do not perform painful de-matting procedures. All matting that cannot be safely brushed out will be shaved. Owners understand that groomers cannot see what may be under matted fur, meaning that removing severe matting may result in exposure of pre-existing skin conditions, lumps,sores, bruising, wounds or parasites. Additional charges will apply for heavily matted coats due to the extra time and skill required and wear of the equipment.

PHOTOGRAPHY & SOCIAL MEDIA

Photographs and videos may be taken before, during and after grooming appointments and may be used for marketing, advertising, educational content, social media or promotional purposes. By booking an appointment you consent to the use of your pets' photos and videos being used unless stated otherwise before the appointment.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Pretty Whiskers Pet Grooming reserves the right to refuse, stop or cancel a grooming appointment at any time where it is considered unsafe or innapropriate. Abusive language and behaviour towards staff or other clients is not tolerated.
