How often should my pet be groomed?

Each grooming schedule depends on breed, hair growth, grooming style & coat type. If you are unsure you can reach out and ask, i'll be happy to recommend a grooming schedule tailored to your pets needs.

Do you offer walk in appointments?

Unfortunately I do not offer walk in grooming appointments as Pretty Whiskers is strictly a 1-to-1 salon. However, i may be able to accommodate same day appointments for smaller services such as nail clipping.

Does my pet need to be vaccinated?

Yes, for the safety of all pets visiting the salon, pets must be vaccinated.

Dogs:

  • Distemper

  • Parvovirus

  • Leptospirosis

  • Hepatitis

Cats:

  • Feline Leukaemia

  • Feline Herpesvirus

  • Feline Panleukopenia

  • Feline Calicivirus

Can i stay during my pets appointment?

For the safety and comfort of your pet, owners are not able to stay during grooming appointments. Most pets settle much quicker once their owners have left. When owners are present, pets may try to cling to their owner, making grooming more dangerous resulting in a higher risk of injury. If the groomer feels your presence would benefit your pet, you will be contacted to discuss the best approach.

Do you accept cash or card?

Both cash and card payments are accepted. However, cash is preferred. The card machine is contactless, although you may occasionally be asked to enter your pin for security purposes.

How long will my pets appointment take?

Appointment times vary depending on breed, style, size, coat condition and temperament. When you drop your pet off i can give you an estimated time and you will be contacted as soon as they are ready to collect.

How can i book an appointment?

Appointments can be made via telephone, WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram. Please book appointments in advance as i cannot guarantee same day/week appointments.
